Code of Ethics

The AACC mission is to expand opportunities to provide quality private post-secondary education by fostering cooperative working relationships with industry and government regulatory bodies and to increase public and industry awareness of the quality of private post-secondary institutions and the programs they provide.

We, as proud Members of the Alberta Association of Career Colleges agree to adhere to the following Code of Ethics.

In all its professional relationships, the Member agrees to:

  • Present all information about their institution honestly and realistically.
  • Act in good faith.
  • Protect the confidential nature of information.
  • Protect human and civil rights.

In all its administrative relationships, the Member shall:

  • Have an appropriate and posted grievance or complaint and appeal process in place.
  • Maintain a knowledgeable and competent faculty.
  • Adhere to all appropriate regulatory requirements.
  • Abide by ethical and accepted and learner-focused practices.

In relation to AACC, the Member shall:

  • Speak well of the Association, fellow Members and the Career College industry within the Association and to government officials.

  • Speak officially on behalf of the Association only with specified permission granted by the Board of Directors.
